The service

Dealbook is provided by Dreyer & Co AS (Norwegian org. no. 912 161 072). With Dealbook you can store and create agreements and other legal documents, check signing authority against the Brønnøysund Register Centre, send documents for signature and keep smart documents such as the share register, the articles of association, board minutes and board meeting notices. The same can be done from the app, the REST API (api.dealbook.no), the MCP server (mcp.dealbook.no) and the CLI @companybook/dealbook.

These terms apply when you use Dealbook. If you use it for a company, you accept them on the company’s behalf.

Account and access

  • You sign in with a Companybook account. Dealbook has no separate login.
  • Dealbook is in early access. We grant access, and the service is free during this period. We will give fair notice before anything costs money.
  • You are responsible for what is done with your account and your API keys, including by agents you connect.

Signing

The signature in Dealbook is a simple electronic signature with signature evidence and a seal on the PDF. It is not BankID and not a qualified electronic signature. Most agreements between businesses require no particular form, but some documents do. It is your responsibility to judge whether the signature is sufficient for the document you send.

Dealbook sends signing links and notices by email only when you ask it to. If you use an agent, it should ask you first. The surface for ChatGPT, Claude and other directories sends no email.

No legal advice

Dealbook checks documents against legal rules and register data and explains what it finds, but it does not give legal advice. For acquisitions, real estate, employment or significant liability, use a lawyer.

Your content

  • You own the documents and data you add. We use them only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy.
  • You must have the right to add data about others: parties, signers, board members and shareholders.
  • The share register cannot be deleted, because Norwegian law requires former owners to be kept for at least ten years.

API, MCP and agents

  • An API key is personal. Do not share it, and revoke it under Account ▸ API keys if it may have leaked.
  • Each key can make 120 calls per minute. We may disable a key used for abuse or that puts an unreasonable load on the service.
  • Answers from agents using Dealbook can be wrong. Review before you send anything for signature.

Operations and liability

We work to keep Dealbook available and the data secure, but during early access the service is provided without an uptime guarantee. We are not liable for indirect loss. Our liability is limited to the extent Norwegian law allows.

Changes and governing law

We may change these terms. Material changes are announced by email before they apply. These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Questions go to hei@dealbook.no.
